I've been looking at wall chasers, I really can't work out why they are so expensive. They seem to be a ÂŁ70 angle grinder with a dust extraction shroud. Am I missing something?

I mainly do industrial control work but thought one would be handy for re-wiring a house we have bought but was quite surprised at the cost. I do love a gadget but not sure I'd fork out ÂŁ500 for something that's a bit of a 1 trick pony. I've learned the hard way that buying cheap tools always seems to end up in frustration and costs more in the long run.

Has anyone used the Sparky branded ones? They seem a fair bit cheaper. It's for a full house, rental seems prohibitive too. Like all tools you normally wonder how you managed without once youve got one.

I've got a Bosch 4.5" grinder with the extract guard pretty much dust free chasing for about ÂŁ70. Also the single blade gives you much better control.
I fit 5" erbauer disc in it to give 30mm cutting depth.
