Discuss Why doesn't my multifunction tester have a time delay option? in the Periodic Inspection Reporting & Certification area at ElectriciansForums.net

1986 was the first time I did any substantive training with the word Electrical in the title :)

And I have done something which wasn't called an apprenticeship but did involve getting sent to the Stores for a long stand, a tin of tartan paint and a spare bubble for the spirit level. :)

that must have been a while ago. these days apps. usually get sent to stores for red laser lines and LEDs for GU10s.

I spent the whole first year of my apprenticeship at an engineering training centre (we had to know how to weld/mill/turn/program cnc/fit, along with all the electrical training back then) and was once sent to the stores for some "grinding wheel sparks"!
I willingly went, thinking it was a trade name for something...best thing was, the welding instructor heard me, took me to a grinding wheel and fished out some wheel residue from the cooling pot. I was called a few names that day :)
