hello peeps,

got a quick question i would be most greatful to get an answer to:

Why do the requirements of the 7671 for PFC may not permit the use of a BS3036, semi enclosed device as means of covercurrent protection on a home re-wire

Because the breaking capacity of a BS 3036 fuse is typically between 1 and 3kA so in situations where measured PFC exceeds this, the device cannot comply.

There is of course back-up protection from upstream devices but the above will answer the exam question.
