Does anyone else have a problem with their wifi randomly dropping out, It is so infuriating. I am with TALKTALK and sometimes it is fine and then it just seems to drop out time and time again?

How old is your TalkTalk router some of the older ones I've come across recently have had problems on the WiFi and have been losing internet connection intermittently only solution is to replace

Just swapped a TalkTalk router out tonight ADSL wasn't syncing up and when it did it was slow

I find using a WiFI analyser APP on my phone helps when trying to resolve wireless problems as you can see all the other wireless networks in the vicinity and choose a channel which is less likely to be problematic

Router is probably a couple of years old now. Changing channels is all gobbledegook to me. Will maybe try another router.
If you look on the bottom of the router there will be an ip address like 192.168.0.1 or similar and a user name and password, if you use this there will be a setting where you can change the channel, channel 11 mine is on

its a(signal) noise problem, amongst other things such as having several devices attempting connections to available access points, you can use the settings terminal(built in control panel of the router that opens in internet browser) to make your signal closed so that it does not appear to most users and they are not continually trying you for free internet..

I'm not sure that another router will necessarily solve the problem although some recent problems I've seen with TalkTalk routers it's the internet and/or ADSL connection that drops out not the wireless

I have not noticed it dropping out when making or taking a call, but it may well do. I was going to try a channel change last night, but could not remember the password. Will have to speak to TALKTALK.

If it has never been changed you could try "Admin" or "admin" or "Password" or "password" or occasionally you find a password has not been set

Update:
I managed to get into my router settings and changed the channel. Tried 6 first and it made no difference, then tried 11 and so far so good.
Many thank`s to all who helped. Really appreciate it, from an ageing technophobe
