Hey people, I'm paul and I'm new to the forum and i need advice about what i should do next, sorry if this is no this is not where you post it.
My Question is this, i after i finish my 303 practical (if i pass) I'm worried what will come after as jobs are low in my area, my tutor said to join a cadetship on a cruise ship. now i wondering will that help me in the future.
The position is an Electro-Technical cadet, it requires GCSE's A-Bs in math, english and science but i got Cs in all, but if i get my 2330 Level 3 will that help at all.

Sorry for going on a bit and again if its in the wrong area

Thanks for any help givien:)

Paul

Yeah i was thinking of going for it but i'm worried about my gcse's being the cause of them knocking me back
take no notice of the other idiots on the forum tonight. this idiot has his sensible 'ed on art the moment ( not my fault, the oofy's run out of beer ), and this idiot says that your grades should not knock you back if you show them that you're up to it and for it. they may want you to sit an entrance exam, but it shouldn't be too hard. grade c,s are better than what i got in some of my subjects.

Complements Eh thats not gonna get ya a free week in Spain .......

Whos an idiot???........oh bugger he means me!

Ill have you know that being a idiot is a long perfected life skill!! its even on my Cv!

In all fairness to the OP, a C&G 2330, far exceeds and inimum GCSE requirement, if he gives me a PM, i will dig out my cruise co contacts for him during the week!

You know them space shuttle things well about the Earth ............They always say they can see the earth so do they need a Earth, Hang on just going for some water to take these pills

Mayfair, that is the funniest post of the day, that has put a smile on my face. Thanks.

I worked on large ministry boats for 2 years, I would never do that again. From my experince large boats are filthy, noisy cess pits. But I don't like electrics and im presently scared of the sea.

I used to work on the BIG p&o's such as Aurora and ventura, at no point do they ever connect a ship to any on land services, the only bit that ever comes ashore is the lines and the gangway

The ship runs permanently on its own generator and earths itself through the general mass of water

What baffles me is, if a ship is bonded to the general mass of water, then what is spaceship earth bonded to? And it can’t be a TT system because if it was where is the RCD installed? I got a feeling some clown has exported the earth again. ;)

Do you not remember the moon landing when Neil Armstrong knocked in the earth rod ...........The one with the flag thingy on it well that was for TT ............Do i have to explain everything FFS but remember the terminology changes the EARTH becomes the MOON when you do the cert.

the spaceship is suspended within a potential gradient, so does not require an earth in it's own right. like birds sitting on a HV cable. if the astronauts were to drop a long conductive chain down to the nearest planet, one of two things could happen.

1. they would all be toast.

2. the resultant surge in electrical energy could boost them into hyperdrive and enable them to boldly go where no man has gone before ( susan boyle's knickers ).

3. they could splash down on top of durham's ( captain nemo ) u-boat

4. my lottery numbers could come up and you wouldn't see my arse for dust.

i know i said 2 things, but i got carried away.

3.
