Window openers

any ideas,6 electric chain window openers,none work,either open or close.
230 volts at each opener,switched by 3 position switch,off,open,close.

The only window openers I've seen are low voltage and run via a controller, what voltage rating are the openers?

Some window openers come in both low voltage and mains voltage variants (important to know which you are dealing with, can be a slight variation in part number).

I'd want to know first (if possible) what happened for none to be working. e.g. did they all suddenly stop working together, or did they fail one by one?

I have had this where equipment has not been maintained and just seized up.

230v AOV actuators are unusual, as polarity on 24v dc is reversed to open/close the AOV window.....if 230v ac actuators are used, there are usually 3-4 core cable to send 230v ac individually to open/closed the window. would need more info on control panel & actuators

230 volts ak 4 type,just thought do they need to be on a retrative switch,the one that's fitted at moment is a switch,not retrative

Do you know if these actuators have ever worked - i.e. they were correctly installed?

Normally on a retractive 3 position switch. Fitting them on a standard 3 position switch may have killed them?
