Wireless lighting without wired switches

Hello,

I bought my house last year and had a look in the consumer unit before I bought it and it had a dual RCD board and all PVC cable inside including a periodic inspection report that said it was compliant.

However when I came to remove some pendants to replace fittings I realised all the lighting wiring was in VIR. (Rubber singles and twins, no CPC). All the sockets and power have been rewired in 6242Y and all the walls have had the plaster re-skimmed.

What I'm asking is what would be the best way to rewire the lighting without chasing the walls for switch drops.

it depends if the old property has old conduit into to draw the cable ,if it capping it depends how good the spark is.

I can't sue someone that wrote a report for the previous owner. I doubt I could sue NAPIT either. I have looked at MK's wireless solution but it's very expensive to do the whole house. I doubt there's any conduit and certainly no capping. I don't want wired switches. Is it possible without using MK's piezo switches?

We have used the Click Scholemore wireless before using a standard push to make type switch but you need deep switch boxes to install the transmitter.

Another vote for me for Quinetic - having just installed some 15 lighting points using ClickRF gear (a mix of standard and dimmable receivers) I have found them to be an expensive pain in the posterior. I installed a similar amount of Quinetic switches in another property and they have all worked like a charm not to mention being far, far cheaper and not needing batteries. The ClickRF senders seem to be quite fussy about batteries, many of the units I received had duff batteries to start with that caused all sorts of headaches.
