Hi Guys, I dont have access to the Alarms part of the forum so hope it is ok to post here!

Can anyone recommend a decent wireless security alarm? I have alway stuck to the hard wired ones but i have a customer that has laminate / hardwood flooring every where so lifting boards etc for cables runs is a no go! The only option is wireless! If i can mount the actual panel upstairs, i can hard wire the sounder - which from the earlier wireless panels you had to do! Do they have remote key pads as well as PIR and door contacts?

Any help or advice would be appreciated as i dont want to install something that is not gonna do the job!

Thanks

PS - how do you get access to the alarm part of the forum??

Hi Short Circuit,

Not too sure if it is available in the UK, but over here in Ireland I use a HKC wireless panel. I find it extremely quick and easy to install and also pretty much bombproof. It alerts you in plain english if there is any problems with sensors/batteries/etc. Couldnt recommend them more.

I have installed all kinds of wireless alarms inc. risko, aritech and GE but the HKC system is 100 times better in my opinion.

Their website is Electronic Security Products manufacturers, Burglar Alarm Control Panels and Keypads, Shock Sensors, Internal and External Sounders, Digital Communicators, Power Supplies, Wireless Security Products

Hope this helps.

Conor
