I bought a dolls house for my daughter at christmas time and im looking to put lights throughout the rooms

i was just looking for a bit of advice on how i could do this without wiring into a plug

thanks

And check for volt drop on some of those longer runs, also notifying building control in advance.

It's also often better to move the doll into alternative accomodation for the duration of the works.

:)

Ha ha. Yea just buy some white LEDs (or red ones, if it's THAT kind of doll's house) from ebay, you could wire it into a battery pack though you'd have to change batteries regularly, or you could get one of those 1.5-12v AC-DC adaptors for about a fiver and wire it into that.

Do you want to have lightswitches and that or do you just want the lights to be on or off?

yes i would like to put some lightswitches in so my daughter can switch it on and off in the indivdual rooms. what do you suggest to use

Call me an old humbug but do you think this is wise yes I hear what you say but anything that plugs into a wall socket even if it is through a transformer would be a no no for me it is not the fact that you will make it safe of that I have no doubt but for some reason these light do not work one day I would not like to think of a 5 year old playing with cables
