Dear all,
At College,second year and need some theoretical and practical help.
Will be wiring a new 9.5Kw shower in my own house.
I will do the donkey work and will get it connected by a proper sparks at the end.
I have a few questions;
I have a split load CU with one RCD.
Both sides have spare ways.
100 A main breaker.
On the RCD side I have 2x32A and one 16A.
On the other side I have 3x6A 1x32A ring and 1x40A cooker.
My main question is,can I wire the shower straight in to the RCD side on a 40 A breaker?
I will be using 10mm2 cable with a 40A DP switch for the bathroom.
Hope all this is correct,if not could you please put me right as I want to be ready for the proper bloke.

Thanks in advance

Gerry

You might have a bit of a problem getting a sparky to issue a certificate for your work if thats what you were planning so I would ring round and explain what you are doing first, nothing wrong with the rest of it if you take into account the comments above.
