Wiring and Testing help

Been working my way round a install from hell. I get voltage across live neutral and earth. Have got a couple of small shocks off the earth when wiring the cu. But got a big shock today off a neutral.
So I got the tester out I use a metrel MI 3100 and it would not let me do a test.

Have been round the house and and broke down the circuits andI cannot work out whats going on. I know i will be missing something which is probably simple.

Where are you getting the shocks from the Neutral from?

Tingles from the CPC's?

If you have changed the CU then all testing should have shown any problems with the circuits.

Can you narrow down the issue to one "side" of the board? i.e. split the board by RCD?

Silly question but do the RCD's hold?

Got the shock today of the neutral on the circuit for the boiler nothing else on it. Tingles from the cpc on the cu. Have not done a full change just adding a second rcd it wylex board.
The rcds have kicked in everytime. Using the voltage checker I get 240 across netrual and cpc and live and cpc. The mcb do not trip.
Job is taking forever last guy left them in a right mess Downstairs ring a cooker all wirid to a 16amp breaker. Everything was on the non rcd side. Found the fault as to why the rcd kept tripping it was a broke ring main now changed to a radial and installed a 10mm cooker circuit.But the fault is coming up on the new circuits.

What were your IR readings like?

All reading +1000 at 500v . I can take a continuity reading fine then take the same test later on and its over range or tester will not allow the test.
Also I and getting live and neutral are reversed on upstairs ring but as of yet I cannot find were

This sounds like you have a back feed on your neutral. Have you confirmed by means of test that you have a main neutral and earth?

Doest make sense geordie if the dead tests on the up ring were good then reverse polarity would be on every socket. Is that the case ?

Have you checked the supply Ze if its a TNCS and the neutral is down you will get back feed down the earth as well as the neutral , due to the Earth neutral link at the cut out

Back at the propety tomorrow. To run somemore tests will post the results. I get reverse polarity on all of the upstairs. Like you say it really does not make any sense. I think tomorrow could be a long day need to get to the bottom of this.
