Hi all. Hoping to get some advice.

I have received a chandelier consisting of five lights. I have to assemble the fitting however there are five exposed pairs of live and neutral wires that are to be connected to individual live and neutral wires that will ultimately connect to the house.

How should I connect the five live and neutral wires? Do all five lives connect to the solo live and likewise for the neutral? Or do I daisy chain the five together, connecting live to neutral for each light?

Thanks in advance!

At a guess they should have been connected by the manufacturer.

Ideally you need 6 way lever Wagos to connect them together but IIRC the largest they do is 5 way???

THEY WON'T DO FOR FLEX.you could use a 5 port and a 2 port lever type for each.or the dreaded choc block. it's accessible by dropping the fitting and it's what the manufacturer would use if they hadn't any fire nuts handy.

an alternative would be to twist and solder, then put in choc block. all the browns in one, blues in another, E's in 3rd. then the fixed wiring in the other side.

You’d think that they’d provide ferruled ends - you’d be able to use a push fit 6 way then.
It certainly doesn’t help the ‘end user’ usually being us the electricians who have the tools to adapt and engineer stuff to make it work - what chance do the ‘little people’ have.
Choc block it is then - ‘head held on shame’ cough cough! (I’ve got a cold!)

even using ferrules, it's almost impossible to get fine strand flex into push-fit wagos. the flex just buckles up. DO IT ONCE DO IT RIGHT.
