Hey guys

Complete newb here - our bathroom had a fan which was connected to the light and timed to run over. All worked okay except the fan bearings gone so am trying to replace.

I took the old one down without looking at wiring, and have fitted new one as per instructions. However when turn light switch on the fan doesn't start and the shower light is not working now. Presume it's because I have a brown wire 'spare'... Does anyone know what I should do here with this wire?

Thank you for your help... Pic attached! Jimmy
