Wiring downlights

Afternoon,

I'm wiring in three downlights in an internal downstairs hallway. The downlights are mains voltage ones. I planned to wire them from one to the next but on one of the connector boxes, I cannot get two wires in for love nor money for some reason (on either live or neutral)

Are there any issues with using a three-way junction box and wiring off that as below:

Mains supply---------------JB--------------- DL ---------------DL

``````````````````````|
`````````````````````DL
(ignore ` otherwise text moves over to left and ruins diagran

The other downlight connector box I managed to get both wires in without any issues

The junction box will be easily accessible from lifting the floorboards above

Many thanks

small JB at each downlight. accessible through downlight hole. heat resistant flex from JB to fitting. only 1 cable in fitting then, and no burnt T/E above fitting. sssssimples.

Each downlight has a live and neutral going into a connector box which came with the downlight (no earth). The connector box has two wires in and two wires out (live and neutral). Clearly in all apart from the final downlight, there will be two cables going into the connector box. One I managed to get both lives and neutrals into the connector box without too much trouble but the other one I cannot get both in, hence I'm looking at using a junction box. I appreciate it isn't the neatest but are there any issues with it

JB (if accessible from hole) would have to have sufficient cable grip. I reccommend helacons or wagos in a wagobox
