Would appreciate it if someone could please answer my question, i started rewiring my house in Spain, have got yellow/green as earth, blue as neutral, brown as live, 2 way switching brown, as found these three colours as live in the old wiring, and could be ANYTHING!!!! in your expert opinion would this be the right way to go? As i only want to do this ONCE and RIGHT, Obviously will eventually have to get a Spanish Electrician to check it so that it would enable me to get the relevant certificate. Many thanks

Black, Brown and Grey are the three phase colors, Blue is Neutral, single phase is normally Brown, Blue and G/y as you suggest, cpc must be same size as live conductors up to 35mm.

I use Brown and Blue 2.5 for socket circuits and Black and Blue 1.5 for lighting circuits.

Normally use Grey for switched lives and/or Grey/ Black/ Brown for strappers.

A lot of Spanish Electricians still use any of the three phase colors for single phase wiring, or the old " what have we got left in the back of the van" color coding, but you won't go to far wrong if you use the above - good luck.
