I have just finished a 2 day course on 'Wiring for central heating systems' as my knowledge was fairly poor on this subject.

It was well run, good lunch, finished on time and I learnt a lot.

I know there are some on this forum with excellent knowledge of heating electrics, but I 'think' there are probably quite a few electricians who are a bit nervous when they come across a mass of cables going into that 10 way choc block, going off to strange looking plumbing and heating items. Condensing pumps, secondary circulation pumps, frost stats, dual cylinder valves, Y plans etc etc.

The course has basically taken away the mystic of heating electrics and made me realise that it's not actually that difficult. There can just be lots of different items with lots of different cables and you just need to know what these items are. You can then figure out how it is wired.

It was well worth it and I would recommend it.
The tutor was a bit crazy, but in a good way and he made it fun.

Thankyou @LmarshallSparks for pushing me out of my comfort zone :D
