I have come across a stumbling block for the registration process, I am level 3 C&G qualified, have 17th, and 2392-10 level 2..Now I work for an internal maintenance company carrying out the electrical work, installation and repair, the company I work for is not an electrical company, but they want me to do electrical work in their dwellings, no problem I thought but reading the application details for nikky it seems I need to actually be a 'trader' or a 'Business' so I can go on their data base as approved, as well as having my own PLI and have being doing this work for over 12 Months, so do I just print some headers up and become a sole trader ? this seems the only option as I am planning to do my own notifiable work as well in my own time.

They will pay for everything they have so far, but I am now thinking that perhaps I should register on my own as a sole trader, gives me options for private work if I ever need it
