I have Eosinophilic esophagitis?

Basically I get a throat rebore every couple of years!!!!!!!!!

God that sounds bad
I cant even pronounce the illness.
Is it carried out by the NHS or Vauxhall ?

When I lived in London think I would have been better of with Vauxhall  But now down in sunny Dorset ended up by chance with one of the leading consultants in wonky throat field? He uses my endoscopy photos in lectures all over the world unfortunately their not aloud to put my name on them! (thought it would be good advertising;))

Although this sounds a bit pathetic compared to Chris66's prob's Bloody Hell mate that's savage I'd offer you mine but it's a bit gin soaked!

Not exactly an illness, but, twisted testie!!

Nut the size of an orange, constantly wanting to walk "round" it!

Rushed through to hospital after going to doctors and having argument with receptionist along the lines of "Want to see a doctor", "doctor not available", "want to see a doctor really badly", "doctor not available", "want to see doctor or going to take all clothes off in reception!", "no doctor available".

Guess what. One was available after removing shirt, trousers and socks!! Then rushed into hospital!!!!!!

Operated on within 2 hours. God bless private health!!

:D:D If thers no Doctor available tell the little Hitler on the reception desk you want a home visit. Always works, they must have a secret doctor somewhere ready to be wheeled out on just such occasions.

I had Viral Menegitis when I was 16, hospital for two weeks on a drip, had a lumber puncture (where they stick a needle in your lower spine and drain brain fluid from your head down the spine and out). 28 tablets a day whilst I was in Hospital. Fortunately I made a full recovery (not lost any limbs, etc) but have lost some of my short term memory. Oh well, I just write things down more often now. lol

i second that!!!

i was also 16 but the lumber puncture was attempted no less that 5 times before i passed out!!! in the end a short stay in hospital followed by 4 weeks of bed rest with about 20+ tabs a day! made me sick every time! the hospital could not directly link me to meningitis nor did they rule it out!!
:mad::confused::eek:

i also suffer from Psoriasis and it aint getting no better!! and just recently been diagnosed with Dermatitis on my face!!! oh well another claim against the royal navy going in then!!!!

sorry couldn't resist the obvious:eek:

My head fell off one time......

When I was younger I used to get SEVERE migraine - I have had a pool cue snapped over my head and can honestly say any movement, any light, any sound, any stimulus whatsoever was 100 times worse than that. Haven't had one for years *touch wood*

Ooh ooh and a double groinal/scrotal hernia was no picnic.

Funny you should mention that, ive got a terrible case of the latter at the moment lol

This has got to be the No 1 thread for variations on a subject :)

Some of the illnesses described are extra nasty and anyone with any of these illnesses has my sympathy

These forums are very annonymous ,but reading the posts reminds us/me that there is a character and a life behind each username

I must be lucky,I (cross fingers )have no issues other than a bit of psoriasis on the elbow
I wish any of you well with your problems if they are still with you.

My worst illness is kids, 5 of them now and as i write this one has been taken to hospital with breathing problems due to a cold (was in for a week before christmas with the same thing).
If we knew how much fear and panik they would bring us would we have kids?
My secound oldest has decided to make me into a grandad too at 44 (wonder if i will worry as much about my grandkids)
oh well at least i have had no ilness to speak of that are not alcohol induced and short lived.
Now wheres that vodka gone?
