Fair enough lol. thanks for your response I do wish I knew everything but I guess that comes with time but then there's always something to learn. Just didn't want to get caught out for something silly!!

Many thanks

Good luck with your assessment Littlehelper! They actually want to pass you so I'm sure you'll be fine. Even if they do find a 'non compliance', they will just ask you to fix it and then send a photo showing it has been done.... so try not to stress about it too much!

Have all your documents ready as they are more likely to find non compliances with the plethora of paperwork you are required to have..

Health and safety Policy
Risk assessment sheet
Complaints policy
PL insurance
Calibration cert
Up to date BS7671
Up to date Part P document

But again.. they will just ask you to sort it out and then pass you.

@baldelectrician Hey mate thanks for your advice. Can I ask what the kitchen fitter had done none compliant?

Cheers

LH
Cables ran horizontally outside safe zone, joint where old socket was (to be plastered over), no access to any appliance socket (or any switch for same).
Usual crap

The client didn’t want cost of the board replacement so I asked my wholesaler at the time (CEF) about obtaining a replacement. Which they did. Nearly cost as much as a replacement consumer unit mind you...
