Evening guys.

So today's job has left me a little puzzled.
Hands up I'm not a heating engine, normally on Commercial and haven't done a Y Plan for some hours!!

Friend asked me to have a look at one of his rentals which had been fine and the boiler guy came to service his WBosch but it wouldn't run.

When I went yesterday the house was at 30+ oC even tho the stat was set to 15.
(The stat and programmer are cheap tat ) Tried to turn off at programmer but did not respond and boiler kept running so switched off at FCU.

Went back today and turned on. Digital display on the Pump head just flashed and nothing responded. Phoned Grundfos tech line and said the pump had packed up needs replacing (I guess this could be as it had possibly been running over a week since the boiler guy had been) Id also noticed the motor valve wasn't responding when call for heat.

Picked up replacement for both and replaced and everything now responding as it should, except the boiler is not firing. Working around the programmers limitations I get 230 at the correct terminal for demand and satisfied on the 3port valve when programmer and stat are calling /not.

So I'm running out of ideas, other than get the boiler guy back.......

Also apologies balancing head scratching and childcare 🤣 so if it's confusing you know who to blame

If the programmer is set to call for heat, and the room stat turned up enough, then you should get 230V on the 3-port orange wire feeding switched live on the boiler. If no volts on orange wire, is there incoming 230V on the valve white wire, and/or is 3-port valve not moving properly to operate its microswitch?
If there really is 230V on SL and the L feed of the boiler, maybe a one-shot protection device has tripped in the boiler, if it has such a thing - in which case you may need the boiler guy!

As above, yes programmer switched on and room stat set to 25 (ambient temp 15). 230 on the orange (boiler live) wire and white (heating stat) wire correct.
Yup
I think that sorts that then!
