Just got back from taking a look at a job an extension to a domestic property, the builder has specified he wants me to use yoozy boxes with lids. Does anybody know where the cheapest place to get them from is?

Ive took a look on the yoozy site and seen the list of stockists but just wondered if anywhere else does them or anything similar.

Seen them on clearvisionsystems.co.uk and its roughly ÂŁ1 each for a double and 70p each for a single and they dont seem to supply the lids.

Any help would be appreciated.

He says hes had to pick up a bill in the past where the plasterer boarded over all the sockets
He also went on to say its cleaner and looks good and his customers like it because they dont see bare electrical cable ends.

He was quite adamant and I didn't really want to argue with him as work is abit slack at the moment so i'm wanting to try and get in the good books!

Fare enough :) Hope he's got rid of his plasterer. if it's just a case of boarding and skiming why not just put another galv back box ontop of the fixed one with 75mm 3.5. if your worried about the plaster sticking to the box wrap some tap around the sides of it once it's all dry run a stanley knife around the box take the screws out and pull the top box out .

Yeah thats a good idea never thought of that, if i can't seem to source these from anywhere easily enough i imagine thats what it will come too.

Still wouldn't mind giving them ago though, i'm always open to using a new bit of kit especially if it can go on the price of a job.

If someone else is paying for them what the hell just pay full price for them :D

I think the larger wholesalers will probably be more competitive on the price.

I used cef and they ordered me the centrium equivalent, I did 1st and 2nd fix in 1 go just went back after plasterers had been and removed the boxes. Don't know if they did the lids though.

I've just used the new boxcleva covers; they collapse so the plaster isn't broken off when they are removed. They are supplied with lids and cost a fraction of the prices quoted for the yoozy boxes.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply. I already have a good number of the 32A single gang connectors so I'll be using those on each individual wire...
