WHO..carries out what if any certification when you do works in your own house?

Do you carry out a PIR every 10 years etc etc?

BE HONEST

If the quality and frequency of your maintenance is satifactory, just have a little chat with youself every once in a while about the extent and limitations of any testing and inspection you eventually deem necessary......

:)

Maybe after a beer or two...

Started wiring mine 3 yrs ago havent finished yet still wired to 16th as started its just one of those things, CANT BE ARSED! when i get home, i think il finish it next yr sometime.
Well you said be honest and as for a PIR lol.........

Several PIR's done as practice for my 2391. Loads of horrors found, Zs's off the scale, no earth in the out buildings, broken ring(loose wiring), spurs off spurs and the list goes on..................Last place I had, the 7.5Kw shower was permanently live..........feed taken from the input tails to the CU as there was no available ways!!!!!!!

I still have bs3036 rewirables using fuse wire

no rcd mcb etc

i will start doing practice for my 2391 soon

that will be fun

Mine is old mk Sentry board with 100m/amp rcd for the whole installation
Haven't managed to kill the mrs yet , maybe I should remove that trip, perhaps that will do the trick :)

My installation is not in such a good state I'm sorry to admit
My excuse is all my efforts go towards the other guys install and there's no motivation left for my own :(

Yes unfortunately i had the pleasure of doing a full PIR on my own house a few years ago as i was thinking of selling.

Even installed 2 new con units to do away with re-wirables ended up a waste of time as i didn't move.

Good thing is got a PIR valid for another 6 years.

hi

wired my house bout 3 years ago and tested but unfortunatly i lost the results and havnt managed to complete a EIC yet. building regs will be after it soon and then i'll have to test it all over again!
