Your Take on Chinese Inverters

With tighter margins, the temptation to go cheap and cheerful in terms of equipment is growing. Andy at Sibert is offering Afore inverters at cheaper prices with a ten year warrany. Zenex will be offering a 3.6k twin tracker with a ten year warranty for £500.00, thats over £200.00 less than a Power One with a five year warranty.

What are peoples opinions on these kind of offerings?

Is this the future and how does it affect a market that seems to be going in two directions: high quality installs and cheap as chips. It is easy to fall between the two and end up with nothing..

Omnik inverters, not really impressed with. Afore I have used and to be fair they seem really good. The one I installed was a little loud but this may have been a one off. Definitely recommend giving it a go.

bearing in mind SMA teamed up with ever-solar that seems to indicate faith in the products. just because a brand is unknown here doest mean its no good.
