Hi all,
Just a quick one, I want to use an ip rated light switch with a neon indicator to manually ovveride a PIR detector controlling an e27 LED bulkhead fitting. Switch will normally be on for constant power to the PIR but to ovveride it needs to be flicked off and on x2. Or just off.

Hi All,
Please may I ask if light fixtures must now always be fitted by an electrician?
also for domestic homes, is it okay for there to be a battery operated fire alarm and carbon monoxide alarm or should there also be a heat alarm and all three hard wired in?
Thank you all so much,
Vanessa
So I'm wondering is there's a way to grab some low voltage power from the back of a light switch/ I have no other way of getting power to my Ring Door bell and I would like to not have to use batteries.
Ive got an old T5 (or4?) fitting to change to LED, but its built into the kitchen cabinet between two shelves of glass.
Is there any like this: 13W LED Slimline Under Cabinet Link Light 4000K - https://www.cef.co.uk/catalogue/products/4228924-13-watt-slimline-led-linklight but only 18mm wide...
I've just changed the bulb in an outdoor PIR security floodlight (to LED). But the light stays on by default, and turns off when I go outside. I don't think there is a control to "reverse" its mode of operation.

i know about the different wiring arrangements for 2 way light switching. i want to connect the permanent live into first switch common, connect L1's of both switches together, also L2's and connect common of second switch to power the light. But, because ceiling roses dont appear to be...
A switch i saw today has a T+E in the switch and only a single T+E in the light fitting.
I'm presuming this means it's junction boxed somewhere?
Could someone point me in the direction of a potential diagram for such a set up?
My kitchen had an extension at some point and the 2 lights are switched from a 2 gang light switch. It's separate circuits so I can't join them together, ideally I need one module to switch both circuits switch lines, so the lights come on together. Then use the other gang for something else...

Have a contractor trying to run a new electric line to a 'picture light' over the fireplace mantle.
