To anyone considering using a neon mains tester screwdriver, please watch this. When the 10pence resistor fails, you might be lucky to tell the tale.
NEVER PUT YOURSELF IN THE CIRCUIT.

Plenty of resitors are only rated 250V as it is !
(condensation has always been my fear)

Which is why i always use a genuine Megger own brand sausage-on-a-stick,for any hot-work.

Bit drastic, in my view...ok, the neon screwdriver is a no-no, but the other one did well in the circumstances...
I find that 45 seconds at full power in the microwave oven is plenty to cook my frankfurters...I always add the tomato sauce afterwards, naturally...
How do you cook yours?
