Anyone know the difference between the Makita BHR 242 and DHR 242. Theyre both brushless and both 18v. I dont know they look the same drill to me, can you put the dust extractor one one and not the other ? Thanks
It's difficult to find a BHR actually for sale so it must be an old model.
If there is any for sale the batteries will be old stock.
It doesnt show on Makita's website.
Go for the DHR
Alright just called service centre, the BHR will take maximum 3ah batteries, and nothing higher powered. DHR can put in any size. The BHR are cheaper second hand and thats why !

The higher AH batteries have slightly different slots and guides in the top. If you put a 5AH and an older type 3AH battery next to each other you will see the 5AH one has an extra plastic guide on it stopping it going into older model equipment. They can be snipped off and the battery will work fine with the older kit.
