Also worth thinking about the type of sockets you use. Agricultural installations are a special location and a certain IP rating is required, possibly IP65 but I can't remember off the top of my head and don't have a regs book to hand. Metal sockets aren't suitable though.

However, the rest of the installation you describe sounds a bit haphazard!

Hi Sean. Get in touch with the SJIB and they will put you on the right track. With the experience and qualifications you already have you might be able to get a gold card by completing an inspection and testing course. You could do this through Select, they have a training centre in Cambuslang.
I think if you replace the board with something like post #25 or #26 what ever the board costs you will save in time so it shouldn't cost the customer any more.
How about replacing the isolator and fuse box with something like the above. I know proteus isn't to everyone's liking but it was the first to come up when I googled.
