Hi guys does anyone own a 2 peice fibreglass extension ladder that’s not operated by a pully or rope? I’m struggling to find one and could do with a brand name I only want a little one to keep on top of the van

my aluminium 12 ft double is light enough to carry on me todd, hate to have to try lugging a fibreglass monster.

Out of interest in what way?

The GRP will start to deteriate. They do not like being stored out in the elements.

Ladders are a death trap at the best of times and are almost useless to work from. I really would not bother.

An electrician died in Scotland a few months back falling from step ladders. Was ‘only’ about 2 meters high. Fell onto a length of conduit that went straight through him.

Ah ok, its just that I had a Lotus and had no issues with fibreglass rot I think with ladders the better option is to stick with aluminium.

I have a double 4m werner fibreglass set. They are very rigid and handy to use separated but very unwieldy and heavy with just one person if you are using as extensions.

I thought modern day flat roofs were installed with GRP =S

Yeh that’s my thinking. I have to supply the box so can order a bigger 3 phase option to give myself a bit more room
