Job is to replace this extractor fan as in attached photograph, would you say its in zone 1 or 2, i.e. could I replace with mains or would selv be needed not sure if I can get above ceiling to fit transformer.

I have fitted these mains fans which are suitable for zone 1 but I think it is only the standard non timer one which is suitable.
 
In the case of this particular unit with the positioning and height in relation to the shower I'd be looking at a 12 volt fan, although if that's a flat roof or very low pitch fitting the transformer unit could be a bit challenging.
