The strat's just an hss original body Mexican.

I actually prefer the hp Gibson, although my strat is out of the picture - those are all my husband's in the photo.

The amp is a cyber deluxe all solid state, with about 60 modes, so if you want it to sound like a valved Marshall or a subway rocket mesa boogie then you just select that mode.

Tbh it sounds so much like the real thing, we sold the rocket and Marshall and most of the other amps, just this one and a practice amp left.

More of a Gibson Les Paul fan myself, but have played a friend's strat and really liked it

First born with my 54 esquire, that he thought he was going to take to uni , I bought him a sea foam American pro instead. And my 85 strat that I’m refurbing after 30+ years of abuse

Although it needs attention, this 1930's 'LEP Co'( Lancashire Electric Power Company) head is a work of art.
.........but take a look at the cables plastered, or not, into the wall!
Looks like the place could be a mess. T+I tomorrow.

I could have just got a new lid for the browny, I suppose. ?......from some museum or other.

Tough day today, CU was under the bleedin' stairs. These jobs for friends!!
Two CU's the original one's a real balls up, mess. Faults all over the place and awful standards.

The second board, for the extension, was done decently, but then, just to rub it in........ socket connections and in board, the RFC tester's nightmare!

Amazing things happen sometimes that seem to defy everything....
No photo's as it was years ago. But someone I knew was once trying to work out why a video was recording pictures but not sound. They wanted to stick a multi-meter on the sound recording head.
But they didn't have one. So they had the astoundingly creative idea of using the analogue to digital converter on a BBC micro joystick port, designed to measure from 0 to 1.8v DC.
As soon as they connected the 0v on the analogue in port to the (presumably) 230v AC on the recording head it blew the 30A fuse (wired).
So when I turned up to replace the fuse wire, I was most curious what state the computer and video were in afterwards. To my utter amazement the computer was perfectly fine and the joystick port worked on all 4 channels, and the video not only worked but now recorded sound.....!

Got to love those plugs. I like how they go to the effort of partially sleeved live and neutral pins, but then get carried away and do the earth pin as well!
