Hello friends! My second post! So im just about to take on my first CU change over in SW London. Whats a good price for a full test and inspect, CU change over inc certs. Been looking on here at other posts but confused and the price gaps are massive?! Thanks Kellie

[ElectriciansForums.net] My first CU change!!I DON'T BELIEVE it.

@7029Dave If your really upset do something about it complain to City & Guild its run by them and where the initiative came about. @telectrix - bang on really! (but wasn't a typist!)

I like a good wind up!!

Another rough as **** board change on the horizon here i reckon.

SW London its gotta be 600 quid in yer hand

Why u say that, how hard is is to change a board and make it look neat? My first board was neat as you please. It all depends on the installer's standards. I like to leave plenty of slack and dress it away for future. No one taught me to do that, it just came naturally, and WAY WAY before I had got my quals. I was doing 3 phase MCCB panel boards 3 years before I qualified. It doesn't mean anything.

Single phase board, Live Neutral and earth. Nice to make the terminals match up with the MCB's, bit of sleeving, and some notices. Not rocket science is it. I could teach a monkey to do it in half a day.

Now, testing, before and after, and determining meaningful results, well that's a slightly different story. Maybe another day? And the OP has done the testing and Inspection course. Please.

alright 'SHE', I've backed your horse. How about you assert yourself and back the both of us with before and after photos of the job, and also test results. Sound fair? You have to prove yourself on this forum.

And if you do, the rewards can be massive.

Think about it, and God speed.

WTF? have you been to the job i'm talking about and looked at it then? It certainly looked like MICC to me.
