    Device Power Supply question

Oh yeah, I don't know why I said 24v, it has to provide 12v. I assumed higher amp would allow more current to flow providing 12v. So yeah I do apologise, I did meant to just put 12v but I had a brain fart lol. Yeah I won't skimp on power supply, just wanted the ability to provide power to both...

    Device Power Supply question

I have 2 external HDD's I use often. Both Power cables are 12V 2A supplies & input 100-240v 50/60Hz 0.80A. However, 1 of the plugs has broken, I stood on it. The other plug powers either of the HDDs. My question is, if I buy a splitter, will the power supply power both HDDs at the same time if...

Hi, ty I moved blue over to the other port & it works great. I have also cleaned up the wire ends so there's no exposed copper wire. Also yes its earthed to the metal case. I thought it was just the case of moving the blue wire & turn the switch round, but I wanted to double check to make...

Thanks for the accept & a question for a noob :)

Hi, yeah that's what I was thinking. I wasn't aware of the TUV, may I ask which one it is so I can keep an eye out for it in future as a reference? I'm assuming its either the squares or the house? Well I've currently hooked all 6 up to the power supply after reading your reply & left them on...

Thanks for the accept & a question for a noob :)

Hi thanks for the replies. I've attached an image of the power supply I was thinking of using. As for the LED Lights, they're 7.5cm long at 12v 120mA each. I think that calculates to about 1.5w? And I hope to power 6 of them from the power supply. If you think it's a bit dodgy. I will probably...

Thanks for the accept & a question for a noob :)

I do mostly DIY stuff at home & find most of the help I need online. I've illuminated my garden with LED lighting you could probably see from space lol. But I do a lot of hobby stuff with LED lighting & so on. But I've come here because I've ventured into a new area I'm not all that failure...
