yes they do hold when I do that. My misunderstanding is by disconnecting the link from down to upstairs I would have thought the imbalance would have been removed or am I thinking wrong

Don't think Dewalt is as good as they used to be, ive got a 18v combi drill and a 28v nano drill/ chisel. Both have been back to dewalt to be repaired within 6 months of purchase, gearing went on both. The torque setting on the 18v keeps sticking. I wont be buying another dewalt
Hi Dnjr As far as i know if you are not registered with approved Part P scheme , who sanction your work as complies with regs. Then you need building control to do it for you,either way it all ends up in the building controls lap, but you either pay building contol to pass it with one off fees...
Hi Im only a newbie to electrics but as i understand it, if you are not registered with NICIEC, or Elecsa or any other Part P Scheme then building control will reject it. They will allocate their own testing and inspection (at quite a high Cost)
All the flats have another cut out by their meters, so that makes all of the flats with two main fuses i think western power removed all of the seals a few months ago whilst doing something or they never had any

This cut out is one of about 9 feeding individual flats, none of these have seals, so i looked at the fuse which in this case is for the communial areas, considering its feeding 8 lights and 2 sockets, its a bit over the top. Its the original suppy put in about 1960 - 1970
