Permitted dev status? I didn't think we'd need anything confirmed?
We have DNO permission for G59 and they have confirmed they don't need to witness testing. Am I not right in saying that all I need to is get the test sheets sent over to them and we're done as far as they're concerned?
Currently in the process of bringing some panels in from Europe for an 80kWp install. One of the guys I'm dealing with is offering panels which are not MCS accredited. As this is greater than 50kWp, do they need to be? Or is it still a requirement for the tariff?
Any info on this would be...
Sorry Gavin, I'm away on Friday in Portugal for 2 weeks so can't make that weekend. Wish I could help, I've wanted to do something for them for a long time.
I'm not sure I have anything to donate, but I'll keep it in mind.
Fair play to you for doing this. A fantastic effort which will go a long way.
I'd love to offer some help but off-grid work is far from my expertise. Maybe I could offer a pair of hands though?
I've been asked to price a job at a recycling plant. Big open sided factory unit with heavy machinery inside. The site is vast and their energy use is huge as you could imagine.
However, also connected to the same supply are a couple of portakabins which act as a staff room and site office...
It wasn't as frantic for us as it clearly was for others. However, enquiries have gone through the roof and every survey we have done seems very positive.
If this carries on then the next couple of months could be crazy. Like Gavin, though, I'm starting to feel a little old for it all.
Finally got someone in our local paper interested in covering the FIT cuts. They've asked for some comments regarding STA's press release yesterday and I want to make sure what limited space we have has maximum impact. Any advice on key points I should raise?
Thanks
Isn't everyone else pretty much expecting installs to grind to a halt? Only those people doing new eco-homes or where it has been specified by planning will be having them installed I'd have thought?
Yep. Solar will be a tiny market from now on. Not even worth spending the time messing with.
Lets have three cheers for all the suppliers also who have been quick on the trigger and raised their prices.
They send me 7 screws through the post yesterday. And invoiced me for them also. I have no idea what that is all about. I haven't even been in contact with them since I shouted at one of their guys in the office.
