Electric Shock off a Light Switch

I get the occasional muscle spasm in my hands, it feels so much like an electric shock that I have to check around to see if anything is live that I could have touched. Other people have seen this happen and assume I’ve got a shock. Also I worked with someone many years ago who seemed to get...

What to look for in an apprentice?

Thanks for the replies. I like the idea of asking about hobbies, as electronics projects at home was how I got into engineering.

What to look for in an apprentice?

Manchester. I think (for whatever reason) the apprentice needs to come from a certain college, probably funding reasons. Sorry.

Only Approved sparks should be allowed to test

Yes, but I’ve not done that so don’t know how it differs. Ive done 2391-20 and having that level of knowledge would be the minimum in my eyes. You know what I mean. This isn’t Mumsnet!

Have you ever put your boots in the washing machine?

Remember that the chemicals in dishwasher powder(?) could damage aluminium / anodising.

Have you ever put your boots in the washing machine?

Actually, no! She agreed to it, they were spread out evenly and had hardly any wobble.

Have you ever put your boots in the washing machine?

Don’t. I put two pairs in on 40 degrees and the slowest spin speed. On all four the steel toe cap has become detached and is moving around the inside of the shoe. Expensive mistake.

Only Approved sparks should be allowed to test

2391-20 Design & Verification would be minimum in my eyes to be able to work alone. 2391-10 was a hard exam though, even for people with a good knowledge. When I did mine I was the only one to pass despite everyone being a practising electrician.

Question about earth wire - photo attached

The tape is just holding the cable in place while the superglue dries.
