    Quite rite..CEF have a nasty habit of charging different prices to different people,You really need to price every item first with the c*nts.Brass stuff can be quite a bit dearer but I just seen 100 there now on ebay for £36 plus delivery..so 50p a gland...

    Hi.The water pipe comes out of the ground in plasic then changes to copper after the stopcock then about 2 foot later terminates in a garden type tap...all inside the enclosure. I suppose what I'm trying to figure out is if it is an extraneous conductive part..(dont think so.)is it exposed...

    I'm testing only.What I am trying to ask is-is the swa of the cable supplying the FPs sufficient to act as main bonding or maybe they aren't main bonds and only supplementary bonding is sufficient?

There are 3 pillars.All are metal.No 1 is supplied by 70mm 4 core xlpe swa.3 phase and neutral.cpc/bond is the swa. No 2 is 25mm 4 core. And No 3 is 70mm 4 core.     Hi.I cant really comment.I will need to investigate further.The complex has 5 sets of HV/LV Transformer rooms(Subs) (Times 2 :A+B) I believe there are two independant 11,000volt ring mains.They wont let us doe_heads in to the substations. So I could still be looking at either a neutral earth...

    Both supplies are operational..voltage to earth is 240 on both systems..There is some info about earthing neutrals through impedences(fig 44.1)and section 442 .not too clear to me.. Incidently when I measure on megohm scale I am showing 0.00

    No continuity on an accessory fault traced to defective modular kit.faulty circuit disconnected (I think)unless labled wrongly.not confirmed yet. Bed time for me.Maybe I'll have another look tpmorrow

    From DB to HV/LV substation 70mm cable (my understanding of tns is the neutral is derived from the earthed star point on the secondary windings .I'm wondering has the earth been omitted to the neutral.)
