    Flat plate accessories

Yeah still won't really fit on a dual box due to the lip. Give it a go first on one as a trial before carrying on with 2nd fixing. Perhaps some light grinding ? Reducing lug for 25mm Earth tho can't say I've tried fitting it as I can't recall the last time I put in 25mm Earth domestically anyway

    Tonight's callout

No glass front just wooden door. Fire rating is least of the problems, there's actually no stickers anywhere to warn about anything so it's a fail for me on that alone

    Metal oil tank

Most of the ones I come across the pipe is plastic of some kind to prevent corrosion I imagine but havnt found one that needed bonding yet. Testing is the way to go as stated if poss

    Tonight's callout

Changing 12V Downlights to GU10 LEDs

More than likely and probably need to be CE marked and all the rest of it. Yeah should change the fittings completely but it's minimal risk in my opinion so I'm happy to get paid

Main switch burnt out beyond repair

Exactly what I was thinking. Can't believe people would be left with no power in this situation. I've had 1 where the whole neutral block burnt out on a Friday evening. Changed board and got back on temporary lights cooker and a temp socket by board. went back next day to test fully. The...

Changing 12V Downlights to GU10 LEDs

No. 2 not correct, no requirement to provide an earth if metal. Class 2 fittings can be constructed of metal and would not need an earth No. 3 the gu10 lamp holders I buy from Eddys all come with a metal bracket which secures to the light fitting spring I am doing a job next week which is...

Are the adapters expensive and where do they go at the phone position is assume. Just wondering as I've done a few jobs now where I've run 2 cat 5 to each position for phone and data and was thinking if I just use data points at each position then they have the option of 2 data 2 phone or one of...
