    No he was a gas engineer. But said he was competent in installing the oven as he just needed to put the plug on the end of the cable and plug it in.

    I'm not sure but all i know is that when the engineer left and my partner turned the oven on the fuse blew. Luckily I had a 13 amp fuse to change it with.

    I am about to move into a flat with loft access. The light in one of the bedrooms is about 2 foot away from the window. Ideally, I'd like to move the light to the center of the room. If the cable needs to be longer in order to move the light can I use a terminal block to extend the cable or not?
