Not seen or used it yet, but also getting pestered to try it.
The daft thing is our branch don't have any yet, not due in till later this week!
Aaand they may have done me a job lot of the old stuff too at a very reasonable price!
Some of the old M2 gear wasn't bad sockets and spurs seemed...
January was very slow for me, I think most people were recovering from Christmas!
It's not long been half term and the summer holidays are nearly upon us, people will be thinking about going on holidays and the likes, that doesn't help!
I have been very lucky, I have managed to stay busy since...
With regard to code for AC RCD's. If it is tested with all loads connected and passes then I will C3 it, if it fails then C2 for obvious reasons.
In my working life as an electrician I can honestly say that apart from the obvious failures of RCD's I have only ever tested 3 that have been...
It depends entirely on the size of the installation, but for domestic I charge £150 for the board then £20 per circuit.
Commercial I charge rather more but a recent inspection on a large ish warehouse with 3x 10 way 3phase dis boards and all paperwork from installation to present. (last EICR...
We use to roll the flash pads up and stuff them in our nostrils to stop the silica dust from giving us lung problems, mouth was accounted for as that was sucking on a capston full strength!
Is it Valve Set? I take it that it is set in areas with a local thermostat so a call for heat would only heat that area. If that is the case there will be some remote manifolds and valve head actuators being more local to that area that signal back to the boiler to call for heat.
A long while ago I made a roof bolt driver from an old 16mm spade bit, grind the pointy tip off and the cutting edges of the bit until flat! Works a treat and it has a 6mm hex shank so will work in the impact driver or 6mm hand driver!
For the fixing holes I use rubber backed washers from roof cladding screws with a dab of silicone on the back just to be sure!
I have installed quite a few of the metal ones over the years and do go back to several every 3 years or so for inspections, a couple of the older ones about 10 years...
Mmm that is odd they say that as they definitely are very good at keeping moisture and dust out! (Have silicone will travel!)
Not installed one outside but I have in dairy rooms where they get blasted with water on the wash down!
They do a plastic single phase version as well that I use a lot...
Hager do a range that is a skeleton board in an Ip65 enclosure, I use them a lot for farm work
Here is an example.

They are available in GRP and metal!

I was going to say ^^^^^
At school we had an isolator in a store cupboard in each classroom, some of us used to find it amusing to switch the ones in the IT rooms off until they started locking the door!
I had one like that about 2 years ago on a job, requested a visit from WPD, they came out and looked at it and the cut out inside the property and said nah that'll be fine mate! Then sat in the van for two hours drinking tea and reading the paper😀
Yes I use them too even though there are no branches close to me. Had two next day deliveries from them last week, one included cable and was good quality!
Never had a problem with their service, it's better than some of the local wholesalers.
Always helpful if something needs returning due...
Ideally there should be inspection chambers at I think a maximum of 50m apart, I have done 80m with mine down 150mm smooth duct before where no draw tape was installed.
Other method is plastic bag with string attached, then Hoover/ garden vac to suck it through. Of course only works if the duct...
I've used this before, good quality and hard wearing!
As with the similar one @James posted, if cut the edge will need treating or it will rot from there.
And it can be very slippery when damp!

I went to second fix a kitchen I had wired a while ago and some sockets weren't where I had pictures of them. The Builder had moved them over and finished the wall! It was very quickly unfinshed by me and a chisel, especially after seeing the state of the cable sheath and insulation at the...
551.7.2 is basically saying that the PV system should be on its own circuit that then feeds the final circuits for the installation, so not dogged in with the ring final or cooker circuit.
The earth afaik is fine on the TNC-S system, well ours is but I'm a bit rusty as it was about 8 years ago...
I agree with @pc1966 above comments it does look like twin and earth for the PV, and Fusebox is the way with the mini DP RCBO's, where you could wedge an AC isolator is another question and as mentioned above should have DC isolators for the PV strings although I find these are usually...
