as a ship is really a in TN-C system RCDs cant be used on ships. the Hull is the neutral and earth. Well it was when i worked in the yards wiring frigates

C2 and recoment it to be slotted. I have found a Dremel with a cutting blade is ideal for this and a lot easier than a hacksaw

Ok just a quick question to confirm my suspitions.
A 4mm radial in metal containment for sockets is ok as high integrity earthing as both the 4mm CPC as well as the metal work are classed as eaarthing conductors so there is a parallel earth path.
