re: Exam question help
Q1-GS 38
Q2-Decrease
Q3-BS 88-2
Q4- An earth electrode tester
Q5- The furthest part of a circuit (its mentioning the radial circuit, and it does not say lighting circuit is there, so where is them switches come from in answer D).
Here is the copy of paragraph in...
Not sure where exactly is the reg, but your own work must comply with a latest regs, that’s a fact.
Unfortunately from experience I can say that it is not uncommon that your work expends further into the circuit or installation ( earthing + bonding, Zs, loading, etc.), and you end up...
Tell me about it, its like 24.1 kA, if to go by mesured 241V, your gear would not handle that, its like 4 times braking capacity of your standard 6 kA mcb, I think you ment Ze=0.10 ohm ....
That’s a weird one, it seems like family business to me, and there is nothing we can advice you, if you and your father doing well in earning the decent living, I would say, just do what you told. When you have your own company, you work 24/7 until you can afford to back out and let the others...
Not sure how is this appropriate, if you cannot answer, why write such nonsense.
As per OP question.
Firstly you are in states and this is UK electricians forum, so regulations and how you interact with your building control could be different.
And yes people tend to work differently...
Re: Lighting fault!
Try these posts for problems with flickering and fitting snubbers:
Fitting "snubber" to circuit
led snubber
Stray voltage on lighting circuit.
flickering CFL lamps
Why would there still be current present when the circuit is off?

Equally- correct if resistors are both the same value
And yes, most of the loads are connected in parallel if there is more than one load, cos you have L an N going in each load, but if you have one load, you can say it’s the series circuit.
Sorry, not sure what you mean, always been thought that TNCS is 0.35 ohms, and don’t mater single or 3 phase, just on the 3 phase you measure each phase to earth, that’s all?
I know that:
TNS max Ze is 0.8 ohms, and Ze should be different from Ze(L-N)
TNCS max Ze is 0.35 ohms, and Ze should be the same as Ze(L-N)
Is that what you meant Varilite?
