    No earth bonding to the water.

    Been to a property and noticed that the main earth connection to the CU MET is only by a 2.5 mm blue cable. Now, that’s an as easy-peasy job to fix but the trouble is, a 10 mm cable connects only the gas and no sight of bonding to the water. It’s a non RCD board with only MCB’s and couldn’t see...

    Just for clarification, someone spurred off from the RFC at the breaker to install a socket in the kitchen (under the kitchen units) to feed the boiler, the pictures show the cable route. Cheers!

    I will leave the MCB's in the box that don't serve any ciruit and mark them "unused" - they are the property of the customer.

    If you strongly suspect oil fired central heating boiler as the culprit, why not connect it on a circuit on another RCD using an extension lead or some sort, if possible and play the game of elimination. Good luck to you!
