as said 2.5 flex of a heat resisting type is adequate but if you're not pleased about it, if you look hard you'll find 5x2.5 so you can double up for 2x L, 2x N, leave the links in. I carry a bit specifically for hobs as the stupid terminal setups are often made for continental polyphase installs.
I think the best people to speak to are the nic, as it's 15 whatever years since I joined, but I don't see how they could expect you to have a personal portfolio as a newly reg'n sparks.
The annual inspection is more focussed on that you know what you're doing.
Used it in anger this week, nice piece of kit, much more solid and comfortable than the old plastic fantastic.
Still a little bamboozled as to why there's not something decent for half the price but it is what it is!
Picked up the new 12v Milwaukee hydraulic impact driver (already have loads of 18v kit) as I had the cousin doing some chopping and he always had mine when I wanted it, and it's a lovely bit of kit - all the power you could want, much quieter and so small and light you don't notice it hanging...
Where do you need "years and years" of certs? I certainly didn't when it all came about, I presented the nic chap my two jobs for inspection and off we went.. As a longstanding scheme member of course I have to have the records but there's some degree of leniency on joining or how could anyone...
An EICR should satisfy letting requirements in the short term but if you wish to sell conveyancers etc are grandually becoming switched on to laws from 20 odd years ago and asking for the correct paperwork - no excuses I too have mislaid paperwork so retested to meet my obligations to the client...
From what I've seen of LAP it seems more "how cheap is possible" rather than "cheap and cheerful"
If on a tight budget A few more beer tokens on an alternative budget brand like BG is money well spent IMO
Thanks
If you needed another tomorrow would you spend 50 sheets on one?
They seem to have a following and fetch a price s/h too so I guess they're worth it.
Any recommendations?
They all seem to be the same, fairly tacky and not very robust tool, which is fine for a couple of goes but when you have hundreds of the bleeders to terminate something a bit more comfortable and hardy would be nice.
Got 2 of the tool cases when I bought the power tools and boosted it to half a dozen when I saw some at a more reasonable price, useful when you can snap two together to speed loading/unloading the van, although they don't hang straight. Bought a few of the extra clips to and intend to stick...
Holy thread bump batman etc.
How did you resolve this? Any new ideas?
Had a CU on a submain reading 0.29 - made compliant by using an 80a fuse at the origin, but not wholly satisfied as this could be swapped out, and while unlikely to ever give issue probably doesn't meet the max demand...
I first tried complaining to them about a members fantasies regarding installation particulars before there even was a part P and all that, didn't get far.
Its a peculiar dissonance between the a-ho assessor who seems to want to catch me out and school me every year and the response you get as...
Damn straight, that con unit surely predates 2007 brown/blue, so what is it, a rewire thats retained an old unit? or some new old stock from someones shed? <shudder>
Don't beat yourself up we've all been there, I've got one right now I should/could/wanted to have walked out on in December...
How are you finding these after some time, really flipping useful, gets used loads, or "seemed like a great idea" but ends up back of the van/relegated to shed or garage? (I'm looking at you EBS set)
Thinking about one of these primarily for capping but cost needs a little thought, the DeWalt...
