If you get what the OP says thats called a shock.
Electrocuted means you get a shock and die.
Getting shocked and surviving is different and is not Electrocuted
Another thing I'll say is that there was a lad who also struggled with the maths and after just 2 weeks left the electrical course because he found it to challenging....instead he enrolled on the plumbing course.
Is that what you REALLY want??:eek::eek:
When doing an EICR and they don't have lights on an RCD I tell them their electrics are dangerous, disconnect then tell them I'm going to have to rewire the property with full RCBO board.
Then I put my spurred boots on climb atop my horse and ride off into the sunset
I took level 2 at 26 one of the other mature students was 35 and it was only until 2 weeks before we finished the level 2 year that he finally grasped V=IR. Dont sweat it. My first week I was asking what resistance actually was...thinking it was an actual physical thing
Trying to do an RCD test the other week.
Kept coming up ERR--- checked the rcd was on, changed my testers batteries....TWICE! Was almost at a loss 5 mins later....
Can you spot my little mistake?
Who on earth tells someone that as it has c2s this will also mean the c3s need doing by law also???
Supp. Bonding being added is as someone else said an hours work at best.
Mark it unsatisfactory. Then personally I would say a new board would be the best course of action if he declines at least you've done what you were paid to do and no one can argue with you on that
I'm sure he would knowing his arrogance and drive to rack up the numbers

I'm assuming he's isolated the supply to the first DB because surely he wouldn't have the covers off whilst all the switches are on?
I know just what you mean. Unfortunately the lad doing 5 a day is actually older than me lol.
I was happy plodding along doing it the old way
I know how it'll play out though theyd rather listen to the guy who can do 5 drive bys thus meaning more work is essentially ticked off instead of...
I'm glad I'm not alone then in thinking its a load of tosh. I've never been happy with more than 2. I like to take my time make sure I observe everything and fill the cert in perfectly because at the end of the day its my name on it and if I rushed to get loads done and missed something and...
I'm asking as my work want us to move to 3 full tests a day (one lad likes to brag he can do 5 or more) but this also includes repairs like open circuits (in social housing so believe me tenants have lots of furniture or crap and aren't helpful at moving it) or smashed sockets etc.
I was...
Hi guys whats your take of how many EICRs can be done properly in a day average of 5 to 8 circuits ranging from 1 bed flats to 3 bed houses?? This would also include travel and also doing any repairs whilst there?
The spec was Once you have done the communal periodic ensure that you change some saddles for metal ones. They don't wanna spend a fortune (we are social housing) and they want me to get it done as quick as possible so I'm just wondering how many or what spacing I should follow to do this
hi guys
So I'm tasked with replacing plastic saddles in communal areas.
App D in the OSG says saddles can have a max spacing of 1.5m apart. I know from past experiences that any conduit passing over must have a metal saddle in place.
So was wondering will it be OK to replace the plastic...
