Sorry to bump but I still can't understand this or its just driving me nuts
So a rated at 6 amp 0.75 klik plug flex connected into a marshaling box supplying a light can be used on a 10 amp circuit breaker :/
Are washing machine allowed in a bathroom if they are outside of zone 2 and go into a flex outlet thats fused outside the bathroom?
And for good measure its in a cabinet?
I think i might of asked this before but
Here goes again, on my flat cu with the mcbs off if I use my voltage tester between a lighting circuit and socket radial I get continuity?
Why is that?
But of I power up one mcb the others don't get powered up.
???
Thanks for all that I will read gn8 im just trying to understand how my flat is earthed and such
Its a shares supply in respect that they share the same MET but all have separate isolators and separate consumer units
Seprate gas meters
Separate electrical meters
Not sure about the water...
Was just reading and watching about the poor young boy that died in a pub garden. :*(
My question is rcd or rcbo protection required on outside lighting in a commercial installations?
Say an ecir was done now on a commercial installation with existing outside lights would it be coded as a c2...
What would be different if it was tns?
So if a 16mm earth is added from the met to cu you can run the 10mm bonding back to the cu earth bar as opposed to the met
Ah gotcha :3
So leave all the bonding connected 10mm and 6mm
Leave the current 6mm earthing conductor connected and the new proposed 16mm or a 10mm earthing conductor connected as well.
My only thinking is if its in even if its over the top I won't have to worry about having to put new...
Not sure if its tncs but its to cold to go have a look...0.0
So if I get a 16mm main earth in leaving the new 10mm bonding and the old 6mm bonding on the gas and water would be okay?
Would the old 6mm earth from the twin and earth thats acting as the main earth from the met to the cu need to...
Lol?
Its the main earth thats 16mm i have sorta understood that anything above 4mm can doesnt need mechanical protection even if its the main earth going to the MET in an out house type building where the incoming is
But conduit couldn't hurt right ?
