Unfortunately it is the case!
Shown them various EIC's & MWC's for the past year and they want it back further - proving difficult as I'm not exactly on good "speaking terms" with previous employer!
Are these the same compact RCBO's that were in Professional Electrician a month or so ago...?
Look a very smart bit of kit, am I right in saying they'll retrofit in most exiting CCU's?
Bosch professional for me also, really rate the "coolpack" batteries over the basic ones as they tend to last an awful lot longer than most.
I have the one as mentioned above which can occasionally struggle a little on the tougher of surfaces - thats when the 36v SDS comes into its own!
Other...
If you've got your level 3 certificates you will also need an NVQ & AM2 (part of the NVQ) for grading from the JIB as an electrician.
Have a a look on the JIB website with regards to gradings as it gives detailed instructions as to what qualifications are required for each grading.
Re: Storma
Was told last week with my initial assessment that C&G 2394/5 (or equivalent) is required for commercial as well as EICR's but at no extra charge
Think it really depends on what each company stipulate, as stated above you can begin taking pictures etc whilst saving up for the NVQ.
I'm doing mine with XS training which involves taking a shed load of pictures meeting different criteria, then essentially having a Skype with the assessor to...
Had my initial Stroma assessment today after considering which scheme to go for, seemed a no-brainer to go with them for £288 all in compared to others which were substantially higher!
Have you gained any work through being a member via their website...? If not I'd lean towards going it alone...
Another vote for Megger 1720, good leads and pretty bulletproof.
1720 model features the auto RCD function which would save time on "large scale" sites if working alone!
You don't have to complete an NVQ before taking the AM2, if you were to complete the AM2 before it would count towards the criteria needed for completion of the NVQ - worthwhile knowing if you're struggling for work...
Owned a new Ford Transit Connect for about 18 months now and love it to bits. Really can't look past a Ford in terms of value for money & reliability - hasn't skipped a beat!
If you're struggling hammering cable clips into a solid wall, drill a hole and bang in a red wall plug. Your cable clip will have a good fixing between the outer plug and wall itself and will cover the hole you've just drilled!
Can save a lot of time and clips!
Also got the new Transit Connect and love it, also wish I went for the Custom for the extra space!
Have fitted racking down the drivers side of the rear, very happy with it and fits perfectly for £150 through eBay - New Connect 2014 SWB Binrack Van Racking Van storage Plywood Shelving | eBay
There will be another set of terminals labelled up as "tamper" on the PIR itself, just wondering whether the EOL terminals are your alarm contacts - therefore the alarm wouldn't activate until you removed the PIR lids...
Sounds like either that or they may be programmed off of the system as you...
When you say not sounding the alarm - can you see the LED on the PIR light up and not starting the entry/exit tone?
Might be worthwhile to perform a walk test (if not done already) to confirm the zones are going active/healthy.
