Are LED floodlights all they’re cracked up to be , are they cost effective in the long long run ??

Makes you wonder about these 3yr warranty’s etc , does any one take them back 3 year later , most big companies will probably not keep receipts / invoices , or even try to look for them 3year down the line , and if they did , hire cherry picker , take fitting down and wait possibly weeks for a...

Replacing storage heaters with panel heaters

We fit a lot of electric heating in temp buildings and relying on stat built into the heater just doesn’t seem accurate and we find the heater it self lasts a lot longer when an external stat is controlling all the switching , if you fit a stat central it will work like conventional heating...

Conditional reporting , how in depth do you go to satisfy your recommendation

I’m taking it insulation l+n to earth you would do 100% because that would be all circuits together in one test, flood test is it called and if that’s low start testing circuits separate to find circuit that’s possibly dragging your flood test down I also think this is one of most important tests

Do you need to PAT test / test fixed appliances

Yes sure not many companies do fixed equipment testing , when it should be , something to put to your company , but with the cost implications good luck with that one

Do you need to PAT test / test fixed appliances

It’s a big job , to be honest we don’t do it at the minute but looks like we soon will be , the circuit / spur should be isolated at dB and locked off , rather than unscrew the spur live and disconnect the load side
