    Plenty of ip44 outside spike lights on the market, not that i would use them personally. That said surely if its rcd protected you cant go too far wrong.

    I don’t think the jolting is caused by anything electrical. Sorry to hear about your problems. Sometimes easiest to fight fire with fire. What area in London do you live? For the meter, turn everything off/unplug, check the meter at start and end of day.
