Hi spike, are those fittings suitable for mounting in timber?
Are the lamps halogen or LED?
I personally wouldn’t mount halogen that close to a flammable material,
That’s ridiculous!
I don’t think there is anything wrong with it nor is it bad practice! As long as it’s labeled correctly,
I think you had better make sure every accessory in the house has it’s own radial and OCPD to be on the safe side then get him back.
Have you got to pay for a revisit?

I think your better with LED so that it’s a sealed unit and doesn’t need a removable lid to access lamp which could be the weak point.
I fitted a load of ansell mirage lights last summer nice quality fitting.
Prior to that I installed Knightsbridge which lasted less than a month.
I use a 4.5” Bosch grinder with the Bosch dust extraction guard connected to a fein dustex extractor (class L) very little dust from it.
Not a fan of the twin blade ones - make a right mess.
I use aico’s but I am the 1st to admit they look awful, especially with the wireless base.
I have had a lot of customers moan about them when they have spent a lot on downlights and you screw a big lump of plastic to the ceiling in the middle of them.
There must be a market for some nicer...
hi tool tarts
my fatmax Xl tape measure snapped today absolutely gutted - it only lasted 8 years of daily use!
Anyone recommend me a good one?
I’d like to get an all metric one this time,
and must have good stand out, think my fatmax could do 3m
Cheers
Sam
Haven’t found anything that is as good as the Bosch self cut ones myself.
I’ve got the dewalt extreme and the armeg wood beaver too but they don’t get a look in.
