    Yes but I would try to put a heating system on it’s own circuit not always possible so many permutations but I’m talking about system boilers combi boilers are straight forward and can operate via lighting circuit with fused spur

    Heating systems are different ain’t they? You don’t get a motorised valve with a 3 pin plug on there do you? Or a pump for that matter? Or a cylinder stat? Completely different so don’t understand your point sorry

    Replica of the one I fitted few weeks ago, you have all the toggles and wire seperate just take your time to install it put an extra £50 on Bill for time spent assembling Let me know how it goes when you’ve finished it ?

    It comes with a sealed 3A fused plug that’s surely enough to suggest it can come off a lighting circuit. The main issue here is the ensuring that the extractor hood is fitted correctly and they can be potchy. Certainly no 5 minute job lol

    Yes it can, all you need to ensure is that if the hob is electric then it needs to have a clearance of at least 650mm if it’s gas then 750mm I’m assuming it’s the pendant type like you said with the control buttons attached they are potchy to assemble so be prepared lol

    I’ve come across this couple of years ago. It’s to do with harmonics this install is most often used in residential block buildings where supplies are run together and apparently reduces harmonic distortion baffled also

    That’s pretty much what I said apart from the N/A if it’s 5 circuits on same rcd I repeat the 5 readings on 5 mcbs. If there are 5 rcbos then the 5 readings will be recorded independently

    My advice is keep talking to him and don’t pretend to know it all. They know the regs inside out and like the conversation especially telling you the correct/practical way of doing things, Tea and biscuits also helps ?

    This is my point I don’t do an all rcbo board I do a split load rcd but I see the pros and cons of both, on the test form if it’s rcbos you will enter each rcbo reading individually normally round about the same, and then rcd covering few circuits is the same for each circuit

    Yes good point, we have all had a mere on certain jobs and a quick fix on others. Rough with the smooth I always say. Anyhow hope the guy finds the fault and isn’t stressing just got to stay calm and think of it logically

    Not necessarily once you’re confident in fault finding can be easily rectified with limited time needed. All a learning curve though

    Yes that’s it the guy posting is obviously struggling with the fault and needs to learn how to fault find. In future I would advise anyone with limited experience to do the job during day time hours because it becomes more difficult when the dark nights kick in early
